"Living Loom": A New Gateway to the Solar Energy - - Designs Unveiled By Ehrlich Architects to be Built in Abuja, Nigeria


Ehrlich Architects unveiled the designs for a new gateway to the solar energy that will soon greet visitors and residents in Abuja, Nigeria. Designed as an arc Nigerian traditional harp, the new development will include a giant canopy solar and green roofs. Nicknamed the "Living Loom", gateway to sustainability will be built from bricks made from local clay, laterite.






The design symbolizes weaving across the country, many different people. On one side of the bridge is a public space where the arm of the business goes to heaven. The plan also includes development of an amphitheater and public spaces, where a photovoltaic canopy will provide shade and produce energy as well.
