The latest company to launch a budget solid state drive (SSD), is Intel with the launch of the Intel X25-V. The Intel X25-V is designed to be used in netbooks and also PC's with a dual drive system.
The Intel X25-V comes with 40GB of storage, and features read speeds of 135MB/s and write speeds of 35MB/s, which isn’t the fastest but this is still around four times faster than a 7.200RPM hard drive.
There are no details on exact pricing as yet, but it looks like it will retail for $125 in bulk orders, there are no details on how much it well sell for as individual units.
