The Shenzhen Jetyo Technology Company recently released the world’s first dual solar charging HD camcorder, the HDTV-T900. It has a pair of solar cells which means it just needs a sunbath when it runs out of juice and then you can shoot video and photos again.
This compact high definition camcorder is an entry-level camera yet offers 720p HD-level resolution at 30 frames / sec and it can take 12 megapixel photos (interpolated). It has a 1/2.5″ CMOS sensor and it is equipped with 3.0 wide-screen display screen that can rotate in 270°. The HDV-T900 also supports 8 x digital zoom, white LED night vision functions, has a full-size HDMI port as well as 32MB internal memory and up to 32GB via SDHC as its storage media.
The most significant feature of HDV-T900 is that users can power its camcorder via dual solar panels, NP-40 Lithium battery or 4 conventional AAA batteries. The camcorder is available now and priced at US$88 (RMB600).
