Diana Penty? Who’s that gal? Well, she’s the new hot gal to star opposite Ranbir Kapoor in director Imtiaz Ali’s next flick “Rockstar’.
Reportedly the film was supposed to be shot with John Abraham, under the UTV production house, when it was initially conceptualized. But after completing his ‘Jab We Met’ project, director Imtiaz Ali began his next film, ’Love Aaj kal’. After this film nothing could get finalized with John for various reasons like date clash, etc.
Thus, Imtiaz approached Ranbir, who on hearing the script immediately agreed to do the film. Following this, there was a hunt for a female actor for the film. Names like Katrina, Kareena, Sonam and Jacqueline were being considered.
But, as luck would have it, there was this new model on the block, whose fresh face caught Imtiaz’ eyes. This model, whose name is Diana Penty, was signed on. This means that she literally outraced other Bollywood actresses and got this big project, which co-incidentally was being eyed by most of the leading ladies in Bollywood.
Diana Penty is not a very new model though; she has endorsed a mobile service provider and also a cosmetic brand which was earlier endorsed by Deepika Padukone.
Thus, this 25 year old has become the centre of attraction in the current batch of new and fresh faced heroines. It remains to be seen how competitive this gal is in the bollywood humdrum!
