Everyone knows that Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone had a breezy love affair that began passionately but ended with a thud. But not many know that before their affair became public and before they started dating each other regularly, they had a brief fling which lasted just a little over three weeks.

Call it trial dating or getting to know each other. Ranbir and Deepika first got attracted towards each other while shooting their debut films Saawariya and Om Shanti Om respectively. One thing led to another and soon the two were dating each other. However, Ranbir’s personal life affected his work and it wasn’t until director Sanjay Leela Bhansali gave him strict instructions to stay off Deepika till the movie was on the floors that Ranbir didn’t move away from her.
The fling, we hear, lasted just 24 days after which the couple separated. That was round one. But in that time Ranbir and Deepika dated and got to know each other. So when the round two of their love affair began on the sets of Bachna Ae Haseeno, the duo already knew what they were getting into.
Pity that round two also did not last very long.
