Christina Aguilera is reportedly planning a trip to Haiti to help earthquake relief efforts.
The singer announced on Oprah Winfrey's talkshow last Friday that she will visit the country as an ambassador for the United Nations World Food Program.
"A child dies every six seconds of hunger, which is a huge statistic for me. After having my own child, I just had to be part of it and do something about it and help change that situation," the 29-year-old said.
Aguilera explained that she is traveling to the impoverished country to help deliver food and to "visit orphanages and schools there and try to do my part in helping".
