Bisexual is the new black, and singer Vanessa Carlton wears it well. The pianist made a major announcement while headlining Nashville's annual Gay Pride festivities on Saturday, saying she's bisexual.
"I've never said this before, but I am a proud bisexual woman," Carlton courageously bellowed to the crowd of 18,000. We find that very sexy but we want some proof.
Vanessa Carlton, who scored hits with her singles "A Thousand Miles" and "Ordinary Day", has been tied to John Mayer and Third Eye Blind front man Stephan Jenkins, but never to a woman.
Carlton is apparently taking pointers from "True Blood" star Anna Paquin, who announced she was bisexual in April during a PSA for True Colors Fund.
A series of musicians have also recently come out of the closet. Ricky Martin announced he was gay in March, while Chely Wright became one of the first country music stars to come out when she announced she was a lesbian in May.
