Bullock donates $1 million to aid Japan

Sandra Bullock has donated $1 million (£619,000) to Japan relief efforts.
The Oscar winner made the donation to the Red Cross on behalf of her family.
The funds will go to aid those affected by last Friday's earthquake and tsunami, reports CNN.

"This contribution is vitally important as the Red Cross works to provide critical assistance and essential relief items in this time of urgent need for so many people in Japan," the Red Cross said in a statement.

Joe Jonas and Katy Perry both urged their fans to support those affected by the natural disasters in Japan.

The Black Eyed Peas also recently dedicated their latest music video to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami.
