It seems like the Liquid Mini can’t stop itself from playing with colors. Acer has revived the Liquid Mini smartphone’s look and clothed it in flamboyant shades of cherry, lagoon, pearl and steel.

The Android 2.3 OS coupled with the Acer 4.2 user interface ensures enhanced speed of execution and simplicity of use with easy touch operations. Widgets that are frequented by the user can be placed within quick reach on the homescreen and there is more space for wallpapers too. Switching between apps is possible by long-pressing the Home key, while there is a virtual keyboard to help in fast typing.
Social networks gets wider with the SocialJogger 2.0 app that now integrates Flickr and Plurk on top of Facebook and Twitter. Apart from this, it has also been refreshed with 3D effects that allow navigation from one page to another at a faster rate owing to the side cursor. This app enables users to access social events, share photo albums and view notifications.
The handset boasts of a 3.2” multi-touch display with a smooth interface, making web surfing an interesting experience. Music listeners can tune in to radio or even watch YouTube videos and the device also embeds a scalable memory slot. Photos can be taken through the 5 megapixel camera and shared with just a click. Furthermore, DLNA technology promises viewing of content on a larger screen by permitting connectivitions to a laptop or TV.
Besides entertainment, the gadget also offers scope for some serious work. It is loaded with DocumentsToGo and RoadSync for displaying Microsoft Office documents. It also includes Microsoft Exchange Support so that users can send documents via mail to others. The gadget comes in with the complete suite of Google applications like Gmail, Google Maps, Google Navigation and Google Talk and access to the Android Market.
The availability details of Liquid Mini have not yet received a mention from the company. Hopefully, the price tags won’t stray far away from the ones on the original version.
