Lady GaGa has celebrated the first ever Lady GaGa Day in Taiwan.
The 'Edge of Glory' singer performed her first concert in Taiwan on Sunday, July 3, which was designated Lady GaGa Day by officials at Taiching City Hall.
GaGa was presented with the keys to the city at a press conference in the morning, alongside a portrait of herself by a local artist. A group of local children also performed a traditional dance at the ceremony.
"These gifts are so overwhelmingly thoughtful and generous," she told the audience. "I will cherish them forever and always remember today."
GaGa, who is on a five-day promotional tour of Taiwan, later performed in front of thousands of fans at the Taichung Arena, with thousands more watching the performance via a big screen outside, according to the China Post.
GaGa posted on Twitter before the show: "Taiwan rolled my hair + put my lipstick on, in the glass of her boudoir. Here GAGA means "love for all,"
