Reese Witherspoon was rushed to a Santa Monica hospital around 11am this morning, after a car struck the actress while she was jogging. Witherspoon was struck around 11 a.m. in a residential neighborhood.
The driver of the car, an 84-year-old woman who'd been traveling about 20 mph, was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Fortunately, a rep for the actress reports her injuries were minor and she is now "resting comfortably" at home.
Thank goodness.
