Shilpa Shetty will throw a private bash in Mumbai for Elizabeth Hurley when she returns to India on May 17

Shilpa Shetty will host a party in Mumbai for UK hottie Elizabeth Hurley on May 17.

The British model-actress is currently in India to meet her good friend Shane Warne, who is captaining Shilpa's IPL team Rajasthan Royals. Liz goes back to London in a week's time but will return in time for RR's important match in Mumbai on May 17.

Shilpa hasn't been able to meet her at all.
Shilpa Shetty had planned to host a party for Liz in Jaipur but had to cancel it because of a severe pain in her neck as reported 'A pain in the neck' (Hitlist, April 26).

The actress has been laid in bed with severe spondylosis and back spasms for more than 10 days now.

Stuck at home
Says a source, "She had a bad attack while travelling to Jaipur for a Rajasthan Royals match. When she returned, she couldn't get up or visit any RR matches after that.

To make matters worse, a muscular back spasm made it almost impossible for her to move out of her home much. "

"Shilpa and Raj plan to throw a party for Liz at their bungalow in Juhu. A lavish dinner is being planned but it will be a simple, intimate affair as Shilpa will be still recuperating from her illness.

She has been advised another week of bedrest but has already starting planning for the party. "

Hurley, who joined Warne and RR during their Bangalore game on Tuesday, has bonded well with the owners and the team.

Says a source, "After Liz landed, she spent a couple of hours with Shane before he headed for practice and team meetings.

He wrapped up early and joined her... they had lots to catch up on, given that they hadn't seen each other for almost a month. "

Marriage split may hit Liz Hurley's sausage sales

Reports are abuzz that the sales of Elizabeth Hurley's bangers are likely to suffer following her marriage spilt.

The actress-turned-farmer's sausages are a big hit at Cotswolds but butcher Jesse Smith fears her marriage split may hit the supplies, reports the Sun.
"We buy the pigs from Liz''s farm and make them into Hurley sausages. The split was a shock and we desperately hope it doesn''t affect the farm and the sausages - people round here love them," he said.

"It''s a secret recipe and they sell for GBP 7.95 a pound - they sell out very fast," he added.

Shane Warne bowls out wife for Liz Hurley?

Australian cricketer Shane Warne issued a statement Monday that he has split from his wife Simone Callahan, following reports he is dating British model-actress Elizabeth Hurley.

The spinner was pictured kissing and cuddling Hurley in a report by Britain's News of the World newspaper on Sunday, prompting her to reveal she split from her India-born businessman husband Arun Nayar "a few months ago", reports contactmusic.com.

Warne refused to comment as he arrived back at his home in Melbourne in the wake of the scandal - but issued a statement confirming he is no longer with his wife Callahan, the mother of his three children.

In a message posted on his website, Warne writes, "Sadly and unfortunately, Simone and I split up a while ago, our close friends and family were informed at that time. It is a private matter, so we did not make it public. We remain friends and will continue to be good parents."

He later added on Twitter.com: "Hope that clears things up for everyone who is interested."

A source close to Hurley revealed she has become "very close" to the 41-year-old former bowler following her separation but is concerned about the distance between them as she lives in Britain and Warne in Australia.

"Shane has been a real support through the tough time she's had splitting with Arun. They have grown very close and there is an intimate bond between them. The only thing standing in their way is geography," said the source.

Now the break-up has been made public, Arun is said to be "embarrassed" by the revelations because of how people will receive the news in his home-country India.

"He is hugely embarrassed and upset. This will be devastating for him. The family had no idea their relationship was over," added the source.

Hurley loves karaoke

Actress Elizabeth Hurley admits that she loves karaoke.
