Alyssa Milano insisting that she is not using Twitter as her self promotion

A lot of social communities like Twitter, Facebook, Opera, My Space, make upcoming stars to rise a position. Also like upcoming stars who are now reputed in their self glamorous world are using those communities. So why not this trend will work for Alyssa Milano? But this American actress and formerly singer Alyssa Milano insists that she doesn’t use Twitter for self-promotion.

The actress — who is returning to TV in the new ABC show Romantically Challenged — says she joined the popular social-networking site to become part of a community and share “interesting” things. “Well the interesting thing about Twitter is, if your heart is in it, is it becomes a community, and I don’t think there’s a lot of communities any more in the world … maybe just in religious institutions and fans of sports teams,” she said.

“My whole take on Twitter is to try to use it how any other responsible community member would. I don’t like to do too much self-promotion on there — when I first joined Twitter, I started following celebrities, and they self-promoted so much that I just un-followed them. So on my personal account, I really just try to share a piece of who I am with people, and be a good neighbor.
“I have other accounts — I have an account for the television show and for the clothing line because I figure if they’re interested in that aspect of my life, then they can follow those accounts. But they’re not following my account to hear me talk about myself. I just try to share links that I find that are interesting, things that I think it’s important to empower people about … I love it."

What do you think it is bad for a celibrity to use social communities for self promotion?

Didgeridoo Helps Crystal Bowersox Spice Up 'Come Together' On 'Idol'

Use of Australian music instrument by Crystal Bowersox creates most sensational parts of this season nine. It was Tuesday night's slightly surreal episode of "American Idol" featured a handful of eyebrow-raising moments. As the top nine contestants dipped into the Lennon/McCartney song catalog, we saw Lee Dewyze bring out a bagpiper during "Hey Jude," Tim Urban turn "All My Loving" into a rockabilly shuffle and Michael Lynche spin "Eleanor Rigby" into a revivalist meeting. But the evening's most head-scratching moment once again came courtesy of Crystal Bowersox, whose surprisingly middling version of "Come Together" was rescued by the bizarre addition of a didgeridoo in the arrangement.

It is saying that Crystal is the best of female singers of season nine and she will be the next American Idol. Now let's take a look at Crystal Bowersox's background. Crystal was raised a farmer’s daughter and has been performing since the age of 10.

She moved to Chicago for a while, has performed in places as widespread as Oxaca, Mexico, and Istanbul, Turkey, and has now settled back in rural Ohio with her son. He was 7 months old when Idol held the Chicago auditions, which would make him about 1 year old now.

Her music is classified as acoustic, folk rock and blues, and it’s been scrubbed from her MySpace.
