Pet Loc8tor: Lets You Locate Your Loved Pet Using a Special Wireless Technology and RF Signals

If you’ve ever lost a dog or cat, you know what it’s like to spend hours wandering around in search of them. Since you can’t predict what direction your pet will take, you’re left to pick a direction and hope for the best. That is, unless you have a bit of technology on your side. A simple tracker attached to your pooch or kitty’s collar can mean the difference between losing one of your best friends.

There are a number of solutions on the market, most relying on GPS, which costs a monthly fee to use. This Pet Loc8tor uses a special wireless technology, combined with RF signals to track down your furry friend. The homing tag will attach to their collar, and a small handheld device uses a series of LEDs to indicate how close they are. $80 will get you one locator and two homing tags. A small price to pay to ensure man’s best friend gets home safe and sound.

Dog Dung Vacuum - - To Clean the Dung of Your Pet With Ease and Dignity

Dogs are a man’s best friends. They play with us, provide company, and even save us from time to time. Their poop however, is something that dog owners wish they could get around, or avoid altogether. If it sounds disgusting, it is exactly as gross as you think it is. To pick up after your pooch takes a dump is both humiliating, and has the potential to start up your gag reflex. A solution has finally been created that will save your dignity, and helps you stay away from what people normally have the ability to flush away.

The Dog Dung Vacuum will put whatever your beloved pet leaves behind into a disposable bag. This is also done with a  30,000-rpm motor, so you can be certain that it will pick up a mess in the winter, off of grass, or concrete. If you own a dog; you’re likely jumping for joy about now.  Even though this super vacuum will cost $99.95, it will be well spent seeing as a twelve hour charge will get you 50 waste suctions, and you’ll never have to bend down to scoop poop ever again.

If You Need Fur to Keep Warm, You’ve Got Problems - Giglianne Braga, Benjamin Elliott, and Justin Gaston Feature in PeTA Ad

PETA adverts have become so synonymous with nudity that expecting stars to pose with their clothes on in photo shoots is something next to ineffectual (won’t say impossible). So replicating the same frenzy, a latest shoot features stars of the popular web series If I Can Dream Giglianne Braga, actor Benjamin Elliott, and Justin Gaston in the buff to endorse the tagline: If You Need Fur to Keep Warm, You’ve Got Problems.

Ben says…

I didn’t know animals got treated that way and [are] literally skinned alive … that’s awful.

Giglianne sounds a bit shocked as she says…

I don’t understand how people can do that, really. Just torture and kill like that for the sake of fashion.

'Archiquarium': Split Level Home for Your Fish - - Designed By Swedish Designer Karl-Oskar Ankarberg

You cannot touch and play with the fish like you do with your four legged furry pets. Perhaps that is why the fish don’t get the status of a favorite pet. Even the aquariums that are normally available don’t do much to elevate the status of the humble fish. Swedish designer Karl-Oskar Ankarberg has taken on the plight of the fish, designing an attractive split-level home called the Archiquarium. If you compare them to a normal aquarium then they definitely qualify as a luxury home for the fish.

Ankarberg makes the upper level of his “modern living for trendy goldfish” out of white Corian with black Corian for the ground floor, resulting in exceptionally-crafted aquatic digs suitable in almost any home or office. It is not just trendy and modern but luxurious as well with provision for natural light and windows for optimum viewing.

Both the upper and lower levels have panoramic windows so the fish can be viewed as they travel around, swimming freely between the floors. Two more windows at the rear and side of the tank, along with a big skylight installed in the lower level offer optimum viewing pleasure. It will be unveiled during Stockholm’s home fair Hem 2010 and made available for sale thereafter.

Interactive Intelligence Games for Dogs - - Let Your Puppy Do The Effort for The Food

I think the idea behind these Interactive Intelligence Games for Dogs is for you to hide a tasty snack inside them, and let your poor pooch snuffle around for an hour or so trying to dig it out. The amount of intelligence exhibited by this pathetic scrabbling will be demonstrated by just how long it took your mongrel from Mars to finish the task. Or something. From $29.99.

Hide the treats in the compartments, place the bones in their slots, give it a little twist, and leave it for your dog to figure out. We should mention games like these are excellent for dogs with separation anxiety. All the hard work to get to the treats will keep your anxious pup busy, preventing their brain from entering that dangerous CHEW UP EVERYTHING mode…

Amazing Dogs Enjoying "Catwalk" on The Ramp - - First Ever Pet Fashion Week in Brazil’s Business Capital Sao Paulo

Brazil: Latin America held its first ever Pet Fashion Week with stylish dogs ‘catwalk’ on the ramp in Brazil’s business capital Sao Paulo.

Design awards and other special events were part of the Pet Fashion Week’s campaign to ‘foster design and innovation’ in pet jewelry, collars, leashes, bedding, fragrances and grooming products.

According to 2008 estimates, Brazil has the world’s second largest pet dog population with thirty million animals, only behind the United States with sixty million.

The "model" dogs wore looks by six Brazilian and three foreign designers, drawing loud sighs and laughter from the public. Leather jackets, fancy party dresses, hats and even bath robes designed especially for dogs colored the runway during the thirty-minute show.

New York, Tokyo and Moscow have hosted previous editions of Pet Fashion Week.

The event’s head organizer said promoting the fashion week in Brazil would help stimulate the local pet industry.

Cristine Vargas, Pet Shop Owner, said, "The collars were beautiful and luxurious. The clothes were very rich with lots of details. Very good, it was really worth it."

Four Dogs, Owned by Tammy Kassis, to Live in $20,000 House Designed by Alan Mowrer of La Petite Maison

You would have seen some interesting dog houses but probably nothing worth $20,000. This dog house is a replica of a regular house, except the fact that it is smaller and all the furniture are placed on the ground, since you don’t expect dogs to jump to reach a box.

A 42 year old dog owner, Tammy Kassis decided to build a home for her three dogs who were petrified of a ‘naughty’ owl.

She requested Alan Mowrer of La Petite Maison based out of Denver to take up the task of building a special home for her dogs. The ‘lucky’ dogs now live in an exclusive house with hardwood floors, air conditioners, heaters, doors and windows with curtains. The house also has a garden with fence which protects them from the outsiders.

The proud owner of the dogs, Tammy Kassis lives with her husband outside of Los Angeles. The dogs, Chelsea, Coco Puff, and Darla mean a lot to her. She also plans to gift them a plasma TV, so that they can watch their favorite channel, Animal Planet. This dogs house is an object of envy and owner’s pride.

Groomair Electric Vacuum Brush - - Can be Used on Animals Before the Fur Falls Out With The Pleasure Your Pet Can Feel

Having pets at home is one of the coolest things to do, for they shower you with love and affection. However, when the season of shedding arrives, your house would be full of animal fur. If you are familiar with cats, you would know that they shed hair several times a year and every time they do it, your floor and sofa and other pieces of furniture would be covered with cat hair.

In order to solve this problem, here is a cool vacuum cleaner that does just that. Groomair Electric Vacuum Brush can be used on animals before the fur falls out. They are safe to use and the pet even receives a pleasurable massage. There are also brush attachments which can be adjusted depending on the length of the hair of your cat or other animals.

The pleasant massage could be extremely joyous to your cat and you would have it purring next to you, while you collect all the annoying fur inside the vacuum cleaner. It can be used easily and costs $78. I would say, go ahead and get it if you have a cat opr some other animal at home. It would not only keep your house clean but would also give the pleasure of massages to your cat.

Pet High Chair - - Permits Your Dog or Cat to Accompany You at The Dinner Table

This Pet High Chair restores my faith in the human ability to design and build stuff. Because of inventions like this we’ll have jetpacks and cancer cures and bases on Mars in spite of people telling us that it can’t be done. The chair clips onto the side of a table just like the portable kids’ high chair. There are a couple of clips you can attach to pooch’s collar to keep it in the chair whether it likes it or not and it can hold animals up to 4.5kg (10lbs). US$49.95

Satisfying a mutual desire for companionship, this high chair permits your dog or cat to accompany you at the dinner table. The high chair clips securely to tables up to 2″ thick and its height adjusts without tools to elevate your pet to near eye level.
