After suffering a 5-3 loss across the Causeway last Saturday, the Tigers will be licking their chops with the hope that they can overturn the deficit in this evening's World Cup qualifiers with the Lions. Today Singapore faces Malaysia International Friendly Matches Asian World Cup 2014 Qualifiers 2nd round.


[UPDATE] They will go into Thursday's match at the Bukit Jalil Stadium facing a hostile crowd of between 70,000 and 80,000 football die-hards willing their opponents on. The Lions will also be without Ismail Yunos, the right-back suspended after his dismissal in Saturday's 5-3 win over Malaysia in the first leg of their second round World Cup qualifier at the Jalan Besar Stadium. [UPDATE] Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek said the 85,000 tickets allocated for the second leg match at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil has been sold out. [UPDATE] Thousands of Harimau Malaya fans decked in the team colours of yellow and black are now at National Stadium Bukit Jalil to watch the return-leg of the Asian Zone World Cup between Malaysia and Singapore. Fans waved the national flags, continuously sang and cheered for the national team as they waited for the kick-off at 8.45pm. SOURCE The Star
