It was just yesterday that we were telling you about the cool online configurator for the new Ferrari 599 GTO. Well, the much awaited car was finally made a public appearance the other night at the Ducal Palace military academy in nearby Modena. And do you wanna hear the buzz on it? From what we are told, there were many who were absolutely smitten with the super car (quite obviously why) and wanted to buy it. But there was a huge surprise. According to reports, the car model has already been sold out. By that we mean that all the 599 examples built have found potential owners.
The cost was quite high. Nearly half a million dollars a piece. Why aren’t we surprised? Maybe because this is the newest top-of-the-line supercar from the famous car maker. In fact, it is celebrated as the fastest they have ever made.
The unveiling took place in front a huge crowd of 500 enthusiasts in the presence of Ferrai chairman Luca Di Montezemolo, CEO Amedeo Felisa and vice-chairman Pierro Ferrari. The car’s next stop will be at the Beijing auto show for the official unveiling later this month.
