Water Cooled Laptop Stand - - Prevents Your Notebook From Overheating to Improve Performance and Prevents Potential Damage

I’m having trouble with this Water Cooled Laptop Stand, it doesn’t seem to make sense. On the surface it seems to be a laptop cooling stand that uses a USB pump to circulate water through a grille to keep your laptop cool. And water cooling must be better than air cooling, right?

The trouble is the hot water doesn’t seem to go anywhere. The water isn’t heated, moved away from the hot laptop, cooled and returned, everything happens in the one place. The hot laptop heats the aluminium plate which heats the water. Air is then drawn through the plate and grille, cooling them both before it’s being exhausted out the sides.

So the water gets heated up and cooled down in the one spot, how does that help? Wouldn’t it be simpler to just heat the top plate, and then draw the heat away with the fan. What’s the water and pump do? Oh right, it ups the price and doubles the drain on your USB ports. Silly me, thermodynamics was never my strong point. No price as yet.
