A dog which allegedly bit Vanessa Carlton has been saved from death after the pet's owner proved the teeth marks on the musician's leg did not match those of the animal.
Carlton was jogging in Pennsylvania last May when a pitbull reportedly broke through an electric fence and attacked the 'A Thousand Miles' singer. She suffered five puncture wounds and was treated by medics.
The 29-year-old made a formal complaint with dog law enforcement officers against the puppy, known as Bella. Her owner's defence was supported by canine dentistry experts, says WENN.
The judge ruled that Bella did not have to be put down.
Carlton attended the court proceedings today but did not comment on the outcome.
