Lost in the utilitarian fundamentals of apparels, style and fashion — the parka, the cargo pant, the T- shirt and the hoodie and your mind thinks of visiting a Gap store nearby without little attention to luxury brand Valentino. But here is a collision of the two big names without compromising on your needs of utility. Gap has lately inked a deal with the couture house of Valentino, and the fresh creation is enough to appreciate the collaboration. Take a glimpse at the latest capsule collection for the Gap in Europe (pictured here).
If you are fond of ruffles, then this line is surely going to oust your present wardrobe collection. In sync with Gap’s signature line collection, Valentino has just played with the flower-like ruffles and flounces on evening gowns and luxury handbags and put them beautifully on casual outfits. The collection surely enjoys an edge over the regular sport look. Here are the images of the seven-piece collection that was unveiled to commemorate Gap’s first Italian store last week in Milan. The collection is expected to hit the stores on 27 November. It is said that the collection will be sold at Gap in London and at Colette in Paris. The rejuvenating line has marked a benchmark in an array of high/low alliances including the latest H&M Lanvin line.
To me it seems the marrying of gap’s timeless essentials with roman culture of couture house Valentino. The designer faces behind Valentino house include Maria Grazia and Pier Paolo, deserves a global applause for such an exciting creation. Undoubtedly, they have cautiously worked with Gap’s vocabulary and applied it to archetypal Gap pieces to design something really chic.
The collection, which was launched to celebrate the opening of Gap’s first Italian store last week in Milan, will arrive at Gap in London- as well as Dover Street Market and Colette in Paris – on November 27.
