Play 360° Portable Speaker - - Bluetooth Enabled Small Package Full of Impeccable Features

I don’t usually get very excited about portable speakers. The reason for this is that while they are small enough to take with you, most of them have terrible sound. I’ve tried a number of them, and most of them barely outperform my phone, which isn’t worth the hassle. Nokia however, has piqued my interest with their new Play 360° portable speaker.

This device is packed with some pretty cool features, which make it seem like something worthwhile to keep around. It connects to your phone (or any other device) via Bluetooth or a standard stereo jack. It uses NFC, which allows you to pair it by simply tapping your device on the top of it. You can even pair two speakers together, and they will set themselves up as left and right channels. With 10 hours of battery life, I’d say that I’m sufficiently interested. The sound output would have to be pretty awesome to justify the $215 price tag, though. Look for these sometime in Q3 of this year.

SoloWheel: Eco-friendly and Self-balancing Unicycle - - Must-see Video

There are a lot of people movers out there that claim to be beneficial to those of us that just don’t feel like walking. They are usually very bulky and look terribly awkward when in use though.

The SoloWheel is the smallest and most convenient people mover that I’ve seen to date. It runs off of rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, and has a compact design with two folding foot platforms. This is very lightweight at only twenty pounds and has a two hour battery life, with need of a 45 minutes charge to be at full battery. Leaning forwards and backwards will control your speed so that you aren’t relying on a switch by your feet. There is a handle to make toting this around a lot easier.

If you’re really wanting to forsake walking in favor of gliding down the streets, it’s going to cost you $1,500 when it goes on sale in April. Is it going to be the next Segway? Only time will tell. More videos and info at the SoloWheel blog

H2O Shower Power Radio: Draws Power from Water to Let You Enjoy Music While Taking a Bath

If you enjoy listening to music in the shower, you have a few options. One is to put a radio of some sort out by the sink. That’s good and all, but you don’t have the ability to adjust the volume or change stations. There are ones that you can stick in the shower, but you have to deal with batteries, since you obviously don’t want to run a power cord into a place full of water. Neither is a perfect solution, which is why the H2O Shower Power Radio was brought into existence.

This shower radio is rather unique, in that it’s not just waterproof, but it actually draws power from the water you’re already using. It hooks into your existing line water line, and generates power from the flowing water. It even stores up energy so that the radio doesn’t cut out once your shower is over. The biggest downside is that you’ll need to likely do away with your existing shower head. That’s alright though, as for the $56 price, they include one for you.

The Stetheadphones: A Real World Solution for Those Music Lovers Who Are Engaged in Clinic

If you work at a clinic, you know that not being able to listen to music can be a little taxing. It would be very hard to listen to headphones and maintain a professional image. There is now a design in the works to solve your music-less problem while at work; the Stetheadphones.

Though it’s not available just yet, this new product will have several features that are beneficial for those working in a clinic. Its stethoscope look hides the earphones, and even a mini microphone with which you can answer calls. Seeing as the earbuds are attached to something rigid, the chance your headphones would fall out are slim to none. No word on pricing or availability.

"Tiny But Mighty": A Perfect Description for Razer's Portable Speakers Dubbed as Ferox

When you’re gaming, the quality of your audio can actually play a big part in the experience. Having a nice set of speakers is nice, but not always practical. When your main machine is a laptop, carrying around an extra pair of bulky speakers generally isn’t an option, so most people opt to either continue using their built-in speakers or bring headphones. The people at Razer have a new offering that might just change the way you think about portable speakers.

The Ferox is a set of rather small speakers, only about 2.5-inches tall. However, Razer is touting that their omni-directional sound will blow you away. They also use auto-expanding resonance chambers to replicate the sound that would otherwise be achieved by a pair of subwoofers integrated into the speakers.

Probably the most interesting feature is that the speakers don’t need to be plugged into a power source to work. Instead, they’re packed with rechargeable batteries that will last up to 12 hours on a single charge. This means no need to carry around a bulky wall plug, or tying up USB ports for power. At $59.99, I’m really interested to see how these little guys perform.

Chrono Nano Wristwatch Strap from IPEVO - - Leather Wristwatch Strap For the 8GB and 16GB Versions of the Sixth-generation iPod Nano

The iPod Nano is undoubtedly one of the most desired MP3 players today. It has been ruling the roost for a while. Now, it looks set to become an elegant fashion accessory as well. Nano fans can add style to their MP3 experience with the Chrono Nano Wristwatch Strap from IPEVO. Priced at $79, the leather wristwatch strap from Chrono is crafted out of Italian calf leather for the 8GB and 16GB versions of the sixth-generation iPod Nano. Hand-sewn, with a custom-cut central notch to clip the iPod Nano 6G into, the Chrono leather strap also has a 316L surgical stainless steel buckle.

Okay, so this is not quite your usual fashion accessory, but it is the perfect gift for those who go everywhere with the iPod earphone wedged into their ear. As Valentine’s Day nears, a host of beautiful, new watches will make their appearance. Nevertheless, high-end timepieces like the Roger Dubuis King Square Hearts Tourbillon Watch are not for everybody. That is where something less elaborate, yet elegant, could make a world of difference. Plus, you can’t undermine the cool quotient of wearing an iPod Nano on the wrist.

Military chronographs from the early twentieth century have formed the inspiration for this piece. Clip your iPod Nano onto the central slot of the wristwatch strap from Chrono and you can’t help but admire the classic appeal of the resultant timepiece. The Chrono Nano Wristwatch Strap from IPEVO is available in black and brown, both with ivory stitching. Finally, here is an elegant luxury timepiece for music lovers who never leave home without their Nano.

AVDBR1 In-car Blu-ray Player From Audiovox - - Now Enjoy Hi-Fefinition Movies on The Go!

Watching DVDs is one good way for passengers to pass the time in a long car ride. I’ve never really been taken with the idea though. I mean, who really wants to spend a car ride watching video that’s sub-par at best? I mean, if you’re not going to watch movies in hi-def, then you might as well pop in a VHS tape or something. Thankfully the people at Audiovox understand my plight, and have announced the AVDBR1 in-car Blu-ray player.

In all seriousness though, I can’t imagine having the need to put a Blu-ray player in my car. I mean, unless you’re going to put in a screen nice enough (and large enough) to appreciate the extra pixels, what’s the point? If you’ve already ditched the DVD as a format, then I suppose you’ll appreciate this $350 unit when it comes out in the Spring.
