Mischa Barton 'ordered to pay $95k medical fees'

Mischa Barton has reportedly been ordered to pay over $95,000 (£57,000) in medical bills to a private nursing company who treated her back in 2009.

TMZ claims that the ex-O.C. star has been sued by Doctor's Choice Nursing after allegedly refusing to pay for unspecified treatment that took place prior to her hospitalisation for psychiatric evaluation.

The website writes that Barton was told to pay her outstanding bill for $89,930.57 plus interest after a judge automatically ruled in favour of Doctor's Choice Nursing when the actress failed to attend a court date.

However, a spokesperson for Barton debunked claims of a lawsuit by stating: "This is the first we've heard of it."

Barton previously attributed her mental health issues to botched surgery on his wisdom teeth. It is unknown whether the dental procedure had been performed by Doctor's Choice Nursing.

Barton, 25, who has been absent from both the big and small screen lately, was spotted on a package housing a “vibrating, ring-shaped sex toy” wearing a low-cut blouse and a come-hither expression.

The packages, which were stocked next to boxes of condoms, were seen in the “Western Amenities” section of a rural Chinese hotel.

According to TMZ.com, Barton’s rep denied that she has secretly released a line of sex toys to the Asian market.

“Um. No. She’s not endorsing any such toy,” Fox News quoted the rep as saying.
