PEP Stations: Credit Card-friendly Electric Vehicle Charging Station - - Planned to be Unveiled at 2010 New York International Auto Show

PEP Stations, LLC, collaborates with James Blain Associates and Ricardo to conceptualize, design and sell the PEP electric chargers to those asking for a charging slot not at their homes only, but also on the go. Slated to unveil at the 2010 New York International Auto Show’s EV Pavilion, the credit card-friendly electric vehicle charging station makes accessing electricity an easy process. The driver needs to insert an access card or credit card into the credit card reader just like today’s conventional fuel pumps.

PEP Stations hopes to install these easily accessible small charging stations in public spots like streets and parking lots. Decked in stainless steel exterior and touting an interactive touch screen, the 220V charging station can charge cars in one to five hours, working for 60-minutes at a time. The PEP unit can charge two vehicles at once.
