Acer AS5745DG: New Addition to The Range Features 3D Support - - Full 3D Splender Using The NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M With 1GB of Dedicated Memory

Acer has just unveiled a new laptop its adding to its range that features 3D support. The new Acer AS5745DG has a 15.6-inch display, 1366×768 display at 16:9 aspect ratio, with NVIDIA’s 3D Vision technology built in.

It comes with Windows 7 Home Premium preloaded and is powered by an Intel Core i5-460M processor with 2.53GHz operating frequency, up to 8GB of RAM can be added, but as default it comes with 4GB DDR3 SDRAM and 640Gb of HDD storage.

The new 3D technology will alow you to vire photos, images, movies and play games in full 3D splender using the NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M with 1GB of dedicated memory.

Connectors include : RJ-45 Ethernet port, HDCP compatible HDMI port, a multi card reader and 4 x USB 2.0 ports together with 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0

The new Acer 3D Laptop AS5745DG will be available in Japan from the 3rd December for around $1200. But unfortunately not details have been released regards worldwide availability.

HP Mini 1103 Netbook: Designed to be Used by Mobile Professional - - With a Choice of Either a Three Cell or Six Cell Battery

There was a time when we were hearing about new netbooks from different manufacturers every day, this seems to have changed and companies seem to be announcing new tablets on almost a daily basis.

HP is one company who is still launching new netbooks, the latest one is designed to be used by mobile professional, the HP Mini 1103 netbook.

The HP Mini 1103 Netbook features a 10.1 inch LCD backlit WVSFA display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, you get a choice of either an Intel N455 or N475 processor, up to 2GB of RAM and Intel GMA 3150 graphics.

Other specifications on the HP Mini 1103 netbook include a choice of either a three cell or six cell battery, three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, VGA, a microphone and headphone port, integrated 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0+HS.

There is also optional 3G broadband and GPS, and it will be available later this month with prices starting at $299.

AIO Holiday 2010 Signature Collection Laptops - - Something Special From Sony on This Holiday Season

The holiday season is coming up and everybody is busy buying gifts for their near and dear ones. I don’t know about you, but one drawback of all this gifting is that one has to decide what to give. I don’t like to give useless stuff just for the sake of giving something. So when I saw this I thought, here is something that is both useful and beautiful, perfect for gifting someone this holiday season.

Ok so I am talking about special editions of laptops brought out by Sony. Called VAIO Holiday 2010 Signature Collection laptops, they included a wide array of laptop sizes and designs keeping in mind different tastes and consumers. The one that you see above is called VAIO EA series, and is 14 inches wide, and has a black and gold Arabesque design on top. I think it looks very elegant and almost regal. Cost? $970.

Dell Alienware M11x - - A Treat to All Gaming Fans

Today’s trendy deal will appeal to all the gaming fans out there, the Dell Alienware M11x Core i5 laptop which is available for $949, a discount of $210 off the manufacturers recommended retail price.

The Alienware M11x features an 11.6 inch LCD display and it is capable of playing all games and media in HD at 720p, and comes with NVIDIA GeForce GT 335M graphics.

Lenovo IdeaPad U260: Ultra Portable Laptop - - Measuring Just 0.71 Inches Thick and Weighing in at 3.04lbs

Lenovo has added another ultra portable laptop to its range with the launch of the 12.5 inch IdeaPad U260. The Lenovo IdeaPad U260 features a 12.5 inch display, and as you can see from the photo it is designed to be portable, measuring just 0.71 inches thick and weighing in at 3.04lbs.

The Lenovo IdeaPad U260 comes with a choice of Intel ULVC Core i3 and Core i5 processors, there is also a four cell battery, two USB ports, and 4GB of RAM.

Other specifications includes 320GB hard drive, integrated 801.22 b/g/n WiFi, VGA, HDMI. There are no details on pricing or a release date as yet.

Cloned MacBook Air From Chinese Company E-Stary - - Bit Thicker Than Original and With Fake Apple Logo

Apple only recently launched the new MacBook Air, and already the Chinese cloners have started to produce copies of it like this one which even comes with its own fake Apple logo.

The fake MacBook Air picture below is made by a company called E-Stary from China, and it features an 11.6 inch LCD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768, a 160GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM.

As you can see from the photo the MacBook Air clone looks quite a bit thicker than the original MacBook Air, and it is available in China for $260, even at that price I think I would rather stick to the real thing.

LG X170: Another Netbook Added by LG to Its Range - - With Choice of Intel Atom N455 Single Core or Intel Atom 1.5GHz N550 Dual Core Processor

LG has added another netbook to its range with the launch of the LG X170, which comes with a choice of either an Intel Atom N455 single core or Intel Atom 1.5GHz N550 Dual Core processor.
It also features a choice of a 10.1 inch HD display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 or a standard display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, and it also allows you to access your smartphone, including SMS and making calls from the netbook.

Other specifications include 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, and integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics. It will be available in Korea shortly for about $600, there are no details as yet on when it will be available in the US and Europe.

Bloom Laptop Design: Winner of the October’s Autodesk Inventor of the Month Award - - Easy-to-Disassemble Designed by Stanford Universoty Students

October’s Autodesk Inventor of the Month award has been given to a group of graduation students from Stanford University for the Bloom laptop design. What is so special about this laptop? Well, it can be disassembled into its various components. This enables it to be recycled with ease. Many a times, the computer contains some precious items, but cannot be recycled. But recycling them becomes possible after disassembling them into smaller pieces.

Aaron Engel-Hall who was the brain behind this project said, “Buying a computer is no longer a singular investment, but a longer-term relationship between the consumer and the service provider. [We] used Autodesk Inventor software often during the ideation phase to experiment with the design. We created 3D shapes to represent the hardware we had to design around, and the parametric design of Inventor software let me put in different parameters so that all the model dimensions would update immediately.”

“ I was also able to experiment with various thicknesses for the case enclosure, making it as thin as possible while maintaining structural integrity.” With this, the ergonomics of the laptop are also increased. It also becomes easier to repair the components while the computer is still functional. Kudos!

HP G62m: New Budget Notebook From HP Ready to Ship - - Price Range Starting from $429.99

HP has announced that it is now shipping a new budget notebook in time for the holiday shopping season. The new notebook is called the HP G62m series and it is a basic machine with a price of $429.99 to start with. The machine has several options that will drive the price up over the starting point.

The notebook runs a variety of Intel Celeron processors with options including the Celeron 900, T3300, and T3500. The notebook can be fitted with up to 4GB of RAM and storage up to 500GB. Graphics are Intel GMA 4500M with HDMI out and VGA outputs.

The screen of the notebook is a 15.6-inch LED backlit unit with a resolution of 1366 x 768. The optical drive includes an 8x DVD burner or an optional LightScribe enabled drive. Other features include a memory card reader, WiFi, and Bluetooth.

14 Inch Solar Powered Touch Keyboard Notebook Created by AUO - - Will be Showcased on November 10 at the Upcoming FPD International 2010

AUO well know for its LCD manufacturing skills has launched a new 14 inch solar powered touch keyboard notebook.

The notebook is fitted with a specially designed solar panel measure just 2.1mm in thickness. The addition of the panel within the notebook helps cut the system power usage by up to 20%.

The solar panel is built into both the keyboard and notebooks cover providing areas to drawing extra power from natural and artificial light sources even if the notebook is closed.

AUO’s new creation will be showcased on November 10 at the upcoming FPD International 2010 during November 10-12 in Chiba, Japan.

ASUS Eee 1015PN - - With Average Specs But Extraordinary Graphical Capacity

The new ASUS 1015PN launched, finally, and while the specs aren’t exactly mind-blowing. The graphical capacity of this little monster is definitely worth the $429 price tag.

Inside, the ASUS Eee 1015PN is pretty standard. It comes equipped with a dual-core Atom N550 processor and 1GB of RAM (that’s not so good in case you aren’t technologically inclined.) In addition, you’ll get 250 GB of storage on-board.

Now that we’re done with the boring stuff, let’s talk about the exciting. This 10.1 inch machines is tricked out with a 1024 X 600 LCD display capable of beaming high-definition graphics to your brain. And to help ease that process along and keep the processor and RAM from being overwhelmed, ASUS was nice enough to throw in NVIDIA Ion 2 graphics. The GPU features Optimus technology which essentially makes your new machine a power-sipping debutant rather than a colossal energy suck like most PCs of this size.

But how much does that really save? Official word is that a single charge will last up to nine and a half hours. Not too shabby.

You may find cheaper PCs out there and you may find smaller PCs but you won’t find one with that sort of picture-perfect oomph anywhere—unless price isn’t an option for you. They’re on sale now at your local Internet dealer, so get shopping.
