Most Expensive Painting on Display at the Tate Modern - - A Treat for Art Lovers Especially Picasso Fanatics

Art is invaluable and you can’t really put a price to it. Picasso’s Nude, Green Leaves and Bust is a perfect example. The whole art world was stunned when it fetched a price of $106.5 million at Christie’s in New York. Now there is good news for art lovers, particularly those who love Picasso’s work. This most expensive painting is on display for the people to see and admire at the Tate Modern.

This painting was created in 1932, which by the way was the most fruitful year in Pablo Picasso’s creative life. He had done a series of paintings of his mistress and muse Marie-Therese Walter. This painting was part of a colorful explosion of works painted in January 1932 in anticipation of the major retrospective that he was planning.

The painting is currently owned by Steve Wynn who has lent it to the gallery and it will occupy the pride of place in the new Pablo Picasso room in the Poetry and Dream wing on Level 3 of the building. All works by Picasso have become very valuable and they generally exceed the pre sale estimates at the auctions. La Lecture, which is another masterpiece by him from the same period fetched $40 million earlier this year. Le Reve is another valuable work from the period by Picasso which can surprise every one with the price it commands if it is put under auction.

‘Ultimo Diamond Back Miracle Bra’ By a Team of Michelle Mone and Grant Macintyre - - The Most Expensive Bra With a Price Tag of £800,000!

Ultimo, the UK's Lingerie brand has brought out the most expensive bra in the UK. Called the ‘Ultimo Diamond Back Miracle Bra’, it managed to reach the most expensive slot by being priced at a huge £800,000! The reason for such a heavy price tag? It is the bra’s backstrap, which is made of 32 brilliant-cut, white 1 carat diamonds that shot its price. It is the result of a collaboration between Ultimo Creator Michelle Mone OBE who designed it and esteemed jeweler Grant Macintyre.

Michelle Mone said: “What girl doesn’t want to be draped in diamonds from head to toe? We designed this bra as the perfect gift for girls who love diamonds. What makes it so unique and sexy, is that the diamonds grace the lower back, one of the most sensual parts of a woman’s body. Also, if you have £800,000 worth of diamonds on your body, why keep them under wraps! This bra cleverly allows you to show them off, revealing just the right amount of skin.”

We agree on that one. It is its subtlety that makes it all the more sexy. If you cant afford a £800,000, then worry not. Ultimo has also created a copy of this bra, which will be available at Debenhams for just £35.00.

Expensive Study Trips on Luxury Yacht by Members of Parliament And Senators Costing $257,749

Study trip being taken abroad is often a part of educational courses and programs these days. One of the popular methods is the student exchange program which helps the participating members to gain from the best of both the universities. But a study trip a on yacht which has a gym, spa, cinema and also a high-profile cocktail bar looks little unheard and unnecessarily extravagant to me. But Federal MPs beg to differ. Reports suggest that Bureaucrats spend more than $250,000 in six months on overseas study entitlements which includes a tour of the islands of Papua New Guinea on luxury-laced yacht.

The Australian tabloid The Sun-Herald published an analysis which says that Members of Parliament and Senators raised a bill $257,749 on overseas study trips between January 1 and June 30 and this in turn was preceded by $500,000 during the final six months of 2009. It goes without saying that these bills are financed through the money which is collected through public taxation. Before any steam could surface, it has been said that an unreleased parliamentary review has recommended to do away with this scheme.

It was NSW Liberal MP Bob Baldwin who took the eight-day trip to Papua New Guinea on a luxury yacht and dished out a bill of as much as $28,498. This is tax payer’s money we are talking about and it shouldn’t be put to use for frivolous luxury trips in the disguise of “education”.

This would probably be the coolest Halloween costume ever! You would think that it is not all that uncommon to see people wearing the Darth Vader costume. But this one is very special. This costume was actually worn by Darth Vader in the second installment of the Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back in 1980.

Neil Roberts, head of the popular culture department at Christie’s went on to say that: ”Darth Vader is defined by his costume, which has made him one of the most recognized characters from the history of film. The global appeal of the Star Wars films, and the interest that the series has attracted from a number of generations, is perhaps unprecedented in the world of cinema. Christie’s have sold some incredible relics from popular culture in the past from Dorothy’s red slippers from The Wizard Of Oz to a dress made for Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany’s; arguably the Darth Vader costume is the most iconic of all.”

Now a bit of trivia; Dave Prowse played the role of Darth Vader but James Earl Jones provided the voice. This original costume is expected to raise about £230,000 at the auctioned being held next month. A part of the proceed will be donated to Cancer Research UK.

"Renard GT" With V-Twin 1200cc Aluminum Engine - - 192 Pounds Two-Wheeler Luxury Will Cost You $ 96,000

How about pay $ 96,000 in a Carbon Fiber bike? Just to get an idea with this value in the USA you can choose a Lamborghini.

The whole structure of the motorcycle is made of carbon fiber; the result is a bike light and very sturdy.

The carbon fiber chassis Renard GT weighs just 11 kg. The engine is a V-Twin 1200cc aluminum can generate 130CV at 6500 rpm.

In 2008, a group of entrepreneurs, designers and engineers came together to revitalize the traditional brand of bikes. And Renard The GT is the example of the power he holds a symbol of power and quality. Its DNA is a masterpiece of engineering: lightweight composite engine with two cylinders in “V”, mounted longitudinally and components that represent the vanguard of the motorcycle industry.

The carbon fiber monocoque weighing just 11 kilograms, is reinforced with Kevlar to make it resistant to shocks and vibrations. With the largest cross section, the body is stiffer than a regular tubular structure, thus ensuring a very precise direction. The design “unibody” integrates the frame, tank and details in a single structure, maintaining the distinctive look and elegant.

However, as interesting as the bike is the history of the manufacturer. The Cycles Renard was a motorcycle brand in Estonia which was reduced to ashes during a bombing in World War II.

The use of carbon fiber makes the final weight of the Renard GT is only 190 pounds.

Exclusive And Limited Corum Romvlvs Billionaire Tourbillion Watches - - Tourbillon Movement Sculptured on Sapphire Plate And Bridges

In the luxury world, "millionaire" doesn't sounds nearly as sexy as it used to. With the existence of watches that cost a million dollars, having just a few million dollars in the bank isn't gonna get precious stone peddlers excited. So we've stepped things up to making "billionaire" the new "millionaire." The former of which is exactly the type of person who might be interested in this new, highly limited watch from Corum.

Rich are getting richer; millionaires are adding wealth to turn into billionaires and to make that distinction they need new exclusive accessories to flaunt that kind of wealth. For such billionaires Corum has unveiled exclusive and limited Corum Romvlvs billionaire tourbillion watches. Corum Romvlvs collection of watches has already made a mark in the luxury world, though this watch design is derived from the same collection what differs is the amount of precious stones used in the watch.

It is very difficult to design exclusive luxury accessory like a watch because there is only limited casing and dial space that can be used to add jewels. But Corum has created a new luxury benchmark by creating ‘billionaire’ tourbillion watches. The entire watch case is studded with some 164 diamonds, bezel has another 44. Tourbillion movement uses plates made out of sapphire crystal and the entire watch is set in 45mm wide 18k white gold case.

Corum has created only five such watches and one can be sure there will be more than five billionaires wanting to flaunt it in their collection of riches. Unfortunately price is not known…any guesses?

Diamond-studded Saucepan From German Company Fissler Showcased at Millionaire Fair in Moscow, Russia

What can you expect at a Millionaire Fair? A lot of diamonds even on kitchen ware. At this year’s Millionaire Fair in Moscow, Russia, one of the highlights was a diamond-studded saucepan, which was valued at whopping 150,000 Euros (about $210,500). Its extraordinary look made it unique and was displayed in a thick glass case illuminated with special lighting. Decorated with 18-carat gold, the saucepan has its handle and lid studded with 270 diamonds.

Fissler, the famous cookware brand from Germany has created this one off saucepan. The company’s spokesperson and Brand Manager Natalya Oreshkina explained that the vessel is not meant for cooking but for serving the food in a beautiful and luxurious way. The price of the pan is comparable with a Porsche Cayenne SUV, but a Porsche Cayenne turns into a pile of metal once it leaves the showroom. This is an investment.

The diamond pot will come complete with a high-class jewelry box made of root wood. The diamond-studded saucepan is probably the most precious pot in the world, and they have already applied for inclusion in the book of Guinness World Records though one must admit it has taken the easy option of using diamonds to make it world’s most expensive.
